WordPress Plugins We Recommend Avoiding

FimuroHost Cloud Hosting does not block plugins on standard hosting plans, so you are free to install what you need. However, a few plugins are known to put a heavy load on the server or to work against the platform's built-in speed features, and we strongly recommend avoiding them.

Resource-heavy plugins to avoid

These plugins are known to use an excessive amount of server resources:

• BackupWordPress
• VersionPress
• Broken Link Checker
• MyReviewPlugin
• LinkMan
• Fuzzy SEO Booster

Better alternatives: your hosting already takes automatic daily Timeline Backups, and link checking can be done with an external online tool that does not run on your server.

Caching plugins

The platform already caches your site at server and edge level, and PHP runs with OPcache enabled. Page caching plugins such as W3 Total Cache, WP Super Cache, WP Rocket and Hummingbird can conflict with this and cause stale pages, broken layouts or logged-in content showing to visitors. We recommend not running a separate caching plugin.

Tips

• Use a supported PHP 8.x version, which is much faster than older versions.
• Remove plugins you no longer use rather than just deactivating them.
• If a site slows down after installing a plugin, deactivate it and test again before contacting support.
