The first time you open cPanel it can look like a wall of icons. In practice you will only use a handful of them regularly. This guide explains how the home screen is organised, where the tools you need live, and the order in which to set up a new hosting account.
Screenshots and names in our guides follow cPanel’s standard Jupiter theme. Newer cPanel versions also offer an optional theme called Meridian, which groups tools into hubs such as Websites, Email, Files, Databases, Security and Performance. The tools are the same; only the layout differs. If your cPanel looks different from what is described here, use the search box to find a tool by name.
Open cPanel
- Log in to your FimuroHost client area at https://app.fimurohost.com.
- Go to Services and select your cPanel Hosting plan.
- Click Login to cPanel. cPanel opens in a new tab, already signed in.

Top bar
- Search Tools: the fastest way to find anything. Type part of a name, such as
zoneorbackup, and press Enter. - User menu (your username at the top right): shortcuts to Password & Security, Contact Information, language settings and Log out.
Left sidebar
Icons for Tools (the home page) and, depending on the server, shortcuts such as WordPress management or statistics.

Right sidebar: General Information and Statistics
- General Information shows your cPanel username, primary domain, the server’s Shared IP Address (needed if you point DNS with an A record) and your home directory, which is normally
/home/username. - Statistics shows how much of your plan you are using: disk space, database disk usage, bandwidth, number of email accounts, addon domains, subdomains, databases and more. Each line shows used / limit. A bar that turns orange or red means you are close to a limit.
First steps for a new account
- Set your contact email in Preferences » Contact Information so cPanel can warn you about full disks or failed backups.
- Point your domain to FimuroHost using the nameservers in your welcome email (see our guide on pointing a domain to cPanel Hosting).
- Check SSL in Security » SSL/TLS Status once DNS has updated, then turn on Force HTTPS in Domains.
- Create your email accounts in Email » Email Accounts and run the checks in Email Deliverability.
- Upload or install your website with File Manager, FTP, or a WordPress installation.
- Protect the account with two-factor authentication and take your first backup.
Tips
- Your website files for the main domain live in
public_html. Files outside it (for example/home/username/mail) are not visible on the web. - If a tool mentioned in one of our guides is missing, it may not be part of your plan. Search for it first, then open a ticket if you still cannot find it.
