cPanel is the control panel for your FimuroHost cPanel Hosting plan. From it you create email accounts, upload files, add databases, install SSL and take backups. There are two ways to get in: single sign-on from your FimuroHost client area (no cPanel password needed), or the direct cPanel login page with your cPanel username and password.
Single sign-on is the easiest and works even before your domain points to our servers, so start there if you are not sure.
Before you start
- Find the welcome email we sent when your cPanel Hosting plan was set up. It contains your cPanel username, the server hostname and the nameservers for your plan. Search your inbox (and spam folder) for it, or open Email History from the account menu in the client area.
- Your client area login (email address and password) is not the same as your cPanel username and password. They are separate accounts.
Method 1: Single sign-on from the client area (recommended)
- Log in to your FimuroHost client area at https://app.fimurohost.com.
- Go to Services and select your cPanel Hosting plan.
- Click Login to cPanel. cPanel opens in a new tab, already signed in.
- If your browser blocks the new tab, allow pop-ups for
app.fimurohost.comand click the button again.
You are signed in straight to the cPanel home page. The session ends when you log out or after a period of inactivity, and you can simply repeat these steps.
Method 2: Log in directly
Once your domain’s DNS points to your cPanel server, you can open cPanel from any browser with one of these addresses (replace yourdomain.com with your own domain):
| Address | Notes |
|---|---|
https://yourdomain.com:2083 | The standard secure cPanel port. Always works when DNS is correct. |
https://yourdomain.com/cpanel | A shortcut that forwards you to the page above. |
https://your-server-hostname:2083 | Uses the server hostname from your welcome email. Useful before your domain points to us. |
On the login page, enter your cPanel username (from the welcome email, not your email address) and your cPanel password, then click Log in. If you have turned on two-factor authentication, you will then be asked for the six-digit code from your authenticator app.
Some office or public Wi-Fi networks block port 2083. If the page never loads, try Method 1, or use mobile data to confirm whether the network is the problem.
Logging in to webmail instead
Email users do not need cPanel. They can read mail at https://yourdomain.com/webmail (or https://yourdomain.com:2096) with their full email address and mailbox password.
Common problems
“The login is invalid”
- Check that you are using the cPanel username, not your domain or email address.
- Passwords are case-sensitive. Type it by hand instead of pasting, in case extra spaces were copied.
- If you have forgotten the password, log in with Method 1 and change it under Preferences » Password & Security. If you cannot get in at all, open a ticket and we will help you reset it.
Locked out after several failed attempts
cPanel servers protect themselves against password-guessing. After too many wrong passwords from the same connection, logins from your IP address can be blocked for a while. Wait before trying again, use single sign-on in the meantime, or open a ticket with your public IP address (search “what is my IP” to find it) so we can check.
Browser shows a certificate or privacy warning
This usually means your domain does not point to the server yet, or its free SSL certificate has not been issued. Use single sign-on, or the server hostname address from your welcome email, until DNS has updated.
The page times out
If yourdomain.com:2083 never loads, your domain may still point to your old host, or your network may block the port. Check your nameservers, then try Method 1.
Tips
- Bookmark
https://app.fimurohost.comrather than the cPanel address: single sign-on always takes you to the right server. - Always click Log out (under your username at the top right) when you use a shared computer.
- Turn on two-factor authentication for both your client area and cPanel.
