Email Sending Limits on FimuroHost Cloud Hosting

To keep our mail servers trusted by Gmail, Outlook and other providers, FimuroHost Cloud Hosting applies sending limits to every mailbox and website. The figures below are the current limits. Limits can change; if you need more, ask support.

Sending from a mailbox (authenticated SMTP)

This covers email sent from Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird, phone apps, webmail, or from your website via an SMTP plugin.

How these are counted

Say you send 100 emails in a day, and each one goes to the same 5 people. That counts as 100 messages, 500 total recipients (100 × 5) and 5 unique recipients.

Sending from your website with PHP mail()

Tip: sending your website's email through SMTP with a mailbox (for example with an SMTP plugin in WordPress) gives better deliverability and higher limits than PHP mail().

Other limits

• Autoresponders: an automatic reply is sent to the same sender at most once every 8 hours.
• New mailboxes: for the first 7 days, a new mailbox can send 50 messages per day. This stops newly created or compromised accounts being used for spam.

Because mail can pass through different servers in our network, you may occasionally be able to send a little more than these figures — don't rely on it.

Spam policy

FimuroHost has a zero-tolerance policy on spam, meaning unsolicited bulk email. Accounts that send spam may be suspended.

Need to send newsletters or bulk email?

Mailboxes are designed for everyday business email, not mass mailings. For newsletters, marketing campaigns or high-volume transactional mail, use a specialist service such as SendGrid, Mailgun or Mailjet. They handle unsubscribes, bounce processing and reputation for you. Remember to add the service to your SPF record.
