Many people are used to typing mail.yourdomain.com as the server name in their email app. With FimuroHost Cloud Hosting that still works, but it isn't the setting we recommend for new setups.
Recommended server names
Our mail platform runs incoming and outgoing mail on separate, dedicated hostnames. This lets the service scale and stay available even if one part is busy:
- Incoming mail (IMAP):
imap.stackmail.com - Outgoing mail (SMTP):
smtp.stackmail.com
Using these names also means the security certificate matches the server exactly, so your email app won't show certificate warnings.
Why mail.yourdomain.com still works
To make moving from another host easier, mail.yourdomain.com is set up automatically for every hosting package. If you've just migrated and your phone or computer already uses mail.yourdomain.com, you can keep it — mail will keep flowing.

Common problems
- Certificate warning with mail.yourdomain.com: the mail server's certificate is issued for
*.stackmail.com, not your domain. The connection is still encrypted, but changing to the recommended hostnames removes the warning. - mail.yourdomain.com doesn't resolve: this can happen if your domain's DNS is hosted elsewhere. Use the stackmail.com hostnames instead.
