If your website is slow or unreachable from your location but works for others, the problem may be somewhere on the network between you and our servers. Traceroute shows each step (hop) your connection takes to reach a domain or IP address and how long each step takes. Our support team may ask you for a traceroute when investigating connection problems.
Windows
- Press Windows key + R, type
cmdand press Enter. - Type the following and press Enter:
tracert yourdomain.com - Wait until it shows Trace complete.

The old Network Utility app has been removed from recent versions of macOS, so use Terminal:

traceroute yourdomain.com
Linux

Replace yourdomain.com with your domain, or with an IP address if support asks for one.
Sending the results to support
- Copy the full output as text and paste it into your ticket, rather than sending a photo of the screen.
- Tell us your internet provider and roughly where you are, and whether the problem happens on mobile data as well.
- Lines showing
* * *are not always a problem: many routers simply do not answer traceroute requests.
