Everything you need to control a domain registered with FimuroHost is on one page in your client area. This guide explains each option, what it changes, and when you would use it, so you can manage your domain confidently without guessing.

Open the domain management page

  1. Log in to your FimuroHost client area with your email and password.
  2. Go to Domains → My Domains. You see a list of your domains with their status and expiry date.
  3. Click the domain name, or the Manage button next to it.

The options appear as tabs or a menu on the left (on a phone, they are in a drop-down at the top).

Details worth knowing

Overview and auto-renew

Auto-renew is on by default. With it on, a renewal invoice is currently generated 14 days before expiry, and the domain renews when that invoice is paid. Turning auto-renew off means no invoice is created and the domain will expire on its expiry date. See How to Renew a Domain.

Nameservers

Changing nameservers moves all DNS for the domain (website, email and other records) to the new provider. Read Change Nameservers in the Client Area before making a change.

Registrar Lock

When enabled, the registry rejects transfer requests for the domain. Some extensions do not support a registrar lock; in that case the option is missing or shows an error, and that is normal.

Get EPP Code

The EPP (or auth) code is like a password for transferring the domain. Treat it as a secret. If it is emailed, it goes to the registrant email address in Contact Information, so make sure that address is correct first.

DNS Management and Email Forwarding

If your domain uses FimuroHost hosting, manage DNS records in your hosting control panel (for example StackCP → Manage DNS), not here. The client-area DNS options only take effect if the domain uses the nameservers that go with them. If you need these options and do not see them, ask us whether they can be enabled for your domain.

Protect this page

Anyone who logs in to your account can change your nameservers or take your EPP code. Use a strong unique password and turn on two-factor authentication from the account menu → Security Settings. See How to Protect Your Domain from Hijacking.
