An email signature is the block of text added to the bottom of your messages — usually your name, job title, company and contact details. In FimuroHost webmail you can create a signature once and have it added automatically to every email you send.

Create or edit your signature

  1. Log in to webmail with your email address and password.
  2. Open Settings.
  3. In the left-hand column, choose Identities.
  4. In the right-hand column, click the email address you want to add a signature to.
  5. Type your signature in the Signature box. Switch on the HTML editor if you want formatting such as bold text, colours or links; otherwise it stays as plain text.
  6. Click Save.

Your signature will now appear automatically when you write a new message or reply.

Plain text or HTML?

  • Plain text looks the same everywhere and never gets mangled. Good for simple signatures.
  • HTML lets you add formatting and clickable links. Keep it simple, as some recipients read email in plain-text mode.

Tips for a good signature

  • Keep it to four or five short lines: name, role, business name, phone and website.
  • Write phone numbers in international format (for example +880 …) so they can be tapped on a phone.
  • Avoid adding large images; they make messages heavier and are often blocked by email apps.
  • Webmail signatures only apply in webmail. If you also use Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird or a phone app, set up the signature in each of those apps too.
