Some FimuroHost hosting plans include a free .com domain for the first year. The free domain is a normal registration in your name, and it is managed in the client area just like any domain you pay for. This guide explains how to claim it and what to expect when it comes up for renewal.
Is my plan eligible?
Not every plan includes a free domain, and the offer can depend on the plan and the billing cycle you choose. Check your plan on the pricing page before ordering. During checkout, an eligible domain is shown with a zero price for the first year. If you do not see a zero price, the plan or billing cycle you picked does not include the free domain.
How to claim it when you order hosting
- Choose your hosting plan on fimurohost.com/pricing and click to order.
- When asked about a domain, choose the option to register a new domain.
- Type the name you want with the
.comextension and check availability. - Select the billing cycle for the hosting. If the free domain depends on the cycle, the domain price changes to zero when you pick an eligible one.
- Continue to checkout. Check that the domain line on the order summary shows the free price.
- Complete your contact details carefully. They become the domain's registrant (owner) details, so use your real name and an email you check every day.
- Pay the invoice. The domain is registered and the hosting is set up for that domain automatically.
Because the domain was ordered together with the hosting, its nameservers are normally set to the hosting nameservers for you, so the website works without extra steps once DNS updates.
After registration
- Click the link in the contact verification email within 15 days. See Verify Your Domain Contact Email.
- Manage the domain under Domains → My Domains in the FimuroHost client area.
- The free domain belongs to you. If you later leave FimuroHost, you can transfer it away like any other domain, after the 60-day registration lock has passed.
Renewal after the first year
Only the first year is free. After that, the domain renews at the normal .com renewal price. The renewal invoice is currently generated 14 days before the expiry date. If you pay it, the domain renews for another year. If you do not, the domain expires even if your hosting is still active, and your website and email stop working.
Hosting and domain renewals are separate invoices and can fall on different dates, so check both in Billing → Invoices.
I missed the free domain during checkout
If your plan includes a free domain but you ordered the hosting with a domain you already own, or with no domain, open a ticket with the Sales department before registering a domain separately. Tell us the domain you want and your hosting order number, and we will check what we can do. Do not buy the domain first and ask for a refund afterwards, because registrations are generally non-refundable once submitted to the registry.
Common questions
- Can I pick another extension for free? The offer covers a
.com. If you prefer another extension, you can register it at the normal price. - Is the free domain mine or FimuroHost's? Yours. It is registered with your contact details as the registrant.
- What if I cancel the hosting? The domain stays registered until its expiry date. Check our refund policy for how a free domain is treated if hosting is refunded.
Need help?
If you are not sure whether your plan includes a free domain, open a support ticket from your client area (choose the Support department and include your domain name), or message us on WhatsApp at 01818160926. We are happy to check your domain for you.
