You can read and send your FimuroHost email on any Android phone or tablet. Most devices use the Gmail app for all email accounts, but the steps are similar in Samsung Email, Outlook for Android and other apps. We recommend IMAP, which keeps your mail in sync with webmail and your other devices.

Settings you'll need

SettingValue
Incoming server (IMAP)imap.stackmail.com
IMAP port / security993 with SSL/TLS
Outgoing server (SMTP)smtp.stackmail.com
SMTP port / security465 with SSL/TLS, or 587 with STARTTLS
UsernameYour full email address, e.g. [email protected]
PasswordThe password of that mailbox
AuthenticationNormal password; the outgoing server requires authentication

Set up in the Gmail app

  1. Open the Gmail app, tap your profile picture and choose Add another account.
  2. Choose Other.
  3. Enter your full email address and tap Manual setup.
  4. Pick Personal (IMAP) and enter your mailbox password.
  5. Incoming server settings: username = your full email address, server = imap.stackmail.com, security type = SSL/TLS, port = 993.
  6. Outgoing server settings: make sure Require sign-in is on, username = your full email address, password = your mailbox password, server = smtp.stackmail.com, security type = SSL/TLS, port = 465.
  7. Choose how often to sync, give the account a name and tap Next to finish.

Using another email app

In Samsung Email or similar apps, choose Add account, enter your email address and password, then select Manual setup and IMAP account. Enter the same server settings as in the table above.

Common problems

  • Authentication failed: the username must be the whole email address, not just the first part.
  • Can't send, but can receive: check that the outgoing server requires sign-in, and try port 587 with STARTTLS if 465 is blocked on your network.
  • Certificate warning: you're probably using mail.yourdomain.com. Switch to the stackmail.com server names.
  • Brand-new mailbox: new mailboxes have a lower daily sending limit for their first week, so heavy sending may be refused at first.
